Once again NPR is caught shining President Obama's butt and down playing the real force behind the house cancellation of a redundent aircraft engine. This NPR suckup moment came on tonights All Things Considered broadcast. Here is the Obama butt kissing headline:
"In Win For Obama, House Kills Jet Fighter Engine"
by David Welna
A win for Obama? Really? How about a win for the American taxpayer who will not have to pay for this redundant program. While making it seem like this was all Obama's doing in the headline. The report downplays the real hero's who made it happen. Notably there is no mention of the Conservative or "Tea Party" candidates who came to congress ready to start cutting government waste: Here is the biased money quote from NPR:
"In a notable reversal from last year, the House has voted to kill an expensive alternative jet fighter engine. It's a win for President Obama and Defense Secretary Robert Gates, and a loss for the House speaker and others, whose districts would lose jobs. Half of Republicans who have been calling for deep spending cuts voted to retain the engine. But freshmen elected on a mandate to cut spending put their money where their mouth is and voted to kill it."
Notice the comment about "half the Republicans" of course no bad words about the Democrats. Even though some of them were the real porkers in trying get U.S. taxpayers to pay for this redundent engine. Also note how they go out of their way not to avoid any mention of the "Tea Party" influence in the congressional vote. They are just "freshman elected on a mandate". The Reports like this show the bias that pervades NPR and are just another reason why NPR sucks!
